About Organization:

Parivarthana is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established in the year 1988.  It was set up by a group of committed young development professional and social workers with a view to work for poverty alleviation, environment protection and sustainable rural development under the leadership of Mr. G.S. Raje Gowda one of the founder.  Since its inception, it has been working very successfully for low cost and eco-friendly sustainable rural development activities with the support of donor agencies and individual donors.

Objectives:

  • To sensitize rural mass by organizing awareness camps and trainings
  • To organize people’s collectives to address their issues and find possible solutions  through mutual help and co-operation.
  • To  minimize poverty and starvation
  • To provide food security through alternative eco-friendly sustainable agriculture…
  • To protect environment for sustainable rural livelihood base and development
  • To support for health and education activities of the rural poor and weaker sections

Creation of natural resource base for sustainable development.

Vision:
Eco-friendly sustainable rural development with equitable Justice  for all.

Areas of Interventions:

  • Hunsur and Periyapatna, Taluks of Mysore Dist. Karnataka.

Target Groups:

  • Adivasis (Scheduled Tribs)
  • Dalits (Scheduled Castes)
  • Backward communities and other poor in selected villages
  • Women and Children
